
Even smaller companies can realise considerable savings when licenses are shared among users, instead of giving everybody a dedicated license.


A concurrent user license is definitely the most efficient way of managing large installations with users that number in the hundreds. For organizations that have been using products like AutoCAD for years, this is not good news. They have warned that maintenance agreements will escalate in price on an annual basis, and have also advised that their latest releases are only available on subscription.

Autodesk has toughened its stance on perpetual licensing, in its determination to move all its customers to subscription licenses.
